London Cycle Hire, coming in summer 2010, will hopefully radicalise bike use throughout the capital. With 400 docking stations available all over London you’ll be able to pick up a bike and ride for 30 mins for free! Longer hire will incur a charge.
As well as fuelling leisure rides around the capital a whole host of uses open up. Just imagine, you’ve got 10 minutes to get to that meeting, the tubes are down, and now you have a new alternative to get you there on time!
